Riley James therapy suite

Donation protected
Riley James was born in November 2009. Within the first month in became clear Riley was very unwell. By 8 weeks of age he was diagnosed with hyrdocephalus (fluid on his brain) and abnormalities in his brain growth and structure, his future was very uncertain. In January of 2010 doctors gave him just weeks to live.

Riley has spent weeks at a time in and out of hospital where he received a VP shunt to relieve the pressure in his brain and a gastrostomy for his feeding and medication. He has also been diagnosed with epilepsy, daibetes insipidus, reflex disease and is registered blind.

Riley has shown himself to be an insperatioal little fighter not prepared to give in to his conditions.

Due to government funding cuts Riley is currently not recieving the vital physiotherapy he needs to keep his joints mobile and his chest clear of infections. His last stay in hospital was in March of 2016 where he was treated for aspiration pneumonia, sepsis and hypothermia.  Yet he fought on to make it back home to his family.

We would like to raise the sum of £3000 to build a therapy room in our garden to house a hydrotherapy pool and massage treatment table with sensory lights.

Due to Rileys unknown life expectancy we feel the sooner we can get this put in place the better.

Thank you for taking the time to read Riley's story, please help by sharing and any donation however small will help improve Riley's quality of life.
