Rikki-Lee takes on Breast Cancer

Our incredible big sister. Our beautiful eldest daughter. My amazing partner. My loving mother. Our one of a kind friend is preparing to take on the biggest hurdle of her life.
"You may or may not be aware but I have recently had a challenge set before me that will test me and my family and friends beyond any realm of fairness.
On the 28th of April at the ripe old age of 28 years, 8 months and 7 days, I was diagnosed with an aggressive and fast growing form of breast cancer.
With luck partly on my side, I found this super early with it only have being present for no more than a couple of months prior to its prompt removal. The type of cancer I have is very responsive to treatment so there are some positives!
In the words of my surgeon I am being given a "burger with the lot."
Please do not be sorry as it is not your fault. Please do not be sad as I am not. I am strong. I am determined and I am focused on getting better. I have too much to live for and too much to do to let myself waste my time and energy on feeling sorry for myself. I cannot change it but I can choose how I view it.
As I am sure you can understand, it has been a tough pill to swallow and an extremely busy time. I am not ashamed nor unable to speak about my situation however I would greatly appreciate any well wishes to remain on this page as it is hard to get back to everybody." - Rikki-Lee
We have set up this GoFundMe page to help take some financial pressure off Rix & Leigh while she goes through treatments, surgeries and recovery.
Funds raised will be going towards medical bills that are not covered by the public system, which are excessive, wigs to enable Rikki-Lee to continue her day to day life and return to work as a High School Teacher when she is well enough and to assist with childcare for 18 month old Linkyn while Rikki-Lee is receiving treatment, as they will be a single income family during this time.
