Ride OM: Bike to Build an Orphanage

Donation protected

Help the Seeds of Change Foundation support its President Christopher Gish and the Chair of the Board Eric Goodline  as they and a group of followers bike from Colorado to California raising awareness for Nepal.  Gish and his Ride OM! crew will travel through the Rockies, across deserts, through countless parks and towns, all while spreading the word about the Seeds of Change Foundation and our flagship project Lali Gurans Orphanage and Library.

Gish, who founded the orphanage after a terrible accident left him paralyzed, swore to help the world if he overcame his injuries. Having overcome great adversity and selling nearly everything to provide for his dream of building Lali Gurans, Gish is attempting to ride across the Rockies to raise money for Lali Gurans in spite of having had 17 broken vertebre and other life-threatening injuries.

Today, Chris Gish has overcome impossible odds to travel the world helping communities in need and as in avid cyclist, mountain climber, has skydived and scuba dived around the world.

With a pledge of only 1 penny per 1 mile  or more, you can help, raise the 3,000 dollars needed to finance the food, gear, camping supplies, and postage for emergency packages during this incredible trip of Chris and his good friend and colleague Eric Goodline.

At the end of this momentous ride, Chris and Eric will hand-deliver grants to major non-profits interested in helping the Lali Gurans project. Although only halfway built, this seismic-resistant structure was completely unharmed during the recent devastation of tragic earthquakes in Nepal. Currently used as a fallout shelter for the surrounding communities, Seeds of Change is focusing on raising the final funds to both build earthbag homes for the victims, as well as the completion of Lali Gurans itself.

Lali Gurans stands half-way built and completely unharmed in a seismically unstable region where over 50 % of building stock in affected areas have been destroyed or rendered inoperable.  With your help, we can make other buildings and systems for the great people of Nepal.

Completely self-sustaining, Lali Gurans will completely provide for its children, as well as give them a loving, nurturing family-atmosphere to grow happy and health in. Upon completion, all project programs, systems, and design data will be made open source to inspire similar projects worldwide.

Thank you for contributing to RideOM! Your pledge of 1 penny per 1 mile or more makes all the difference in the world.
