Ride for Refugees

Donation protected
STAR (Student Action for Refugees) and other University of Edinburgh students are going to be cycling 4797km, the distance from Edinburgh to Damascus, on 8 stationary bikes outside George Square Lecture Theatre from the 20th March onwards. We are hoping to complete the journey over 3 days!

We are raising awareness for the long and hard journey refugees face through Europe. All proceeds will be donated to Bikes for Refugees and MSF. Please show your support!

Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) refurbish second-hand bikes and donate them to refugees and asylum seekers, helping people to explore and make important connections with their local communities.

MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders) is an international humanitarian NGO. MSF has done work all around the world to provide refugees and internally displaced people with everything they need, from psychological care to lifesaving nutrition. They have set up hospitals in refugee camps, helping women give birth safely, vaccinating children, and providing access to safe drinking water.

If you are a student at the University of Edinburgh and would like to help us cycle, sign up here: https://doodle.com/poll/g6qmuus9vbnhbbwb
