The origional post from when this was created is below but new events have caused a change in this page, title and link. Not only was Brison diagnosed with terminal brain cancer (DIPG) with a zero % percent survival rate (which he is by the way beating the odds) his younger brother Preston was just diagnosed 12/23/16 with thyroid cancer that has spread to him lymph nodes. This is more than any family should have to bear, two sons, 11 months apart being diagnosed with cancer! Having one very sick child is hard enough in every aspect, emotionally, physically, financially it is all so draining and most of the time you feel like you are drowning and now it is starting all over again. Preston's diagnosis came right after Brison's latest MRI scan showed incredibly great news, but there was no time for us to even rejoice in the good news before being slammed with yet another horrifc diagnosis. Please continue to pray for the Ricker family as they face this horrific journey, pray for Brison and Preston to be healed and for God to continue to give strength to the entire family.
Origional post - As most of you know Kim and Brian Ricker's 15 year old son Brison Ricker was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer on 01/23/16. None of us can ever imagine as a parent hearing those words or being faced with everything that is to come for them. That is why I am putting together a fund to try and help them cover the financial aspects of being off work and all of the expenses that are coming.
Now I know as a community Cedar Springs is amazing and we stand behind each and every person in there time of need. I'm asking you to donate whatever you can so this family does not have the stress of financial worries! Thank you so much and please pray for a miracle for Brison ~ Laura Ensley
Origional post from Kim - Prayer Warriors Needed! Our beloved son Brison Ricker has been diagnosed with brain cancer. Because of where the tumor is located the Dr's cannot do surgery to remove the mass or do a biopsy. They will do radiation to shrink the tumor with the expectation of that lasting 6-12 months and then he will need to start it all over again. The Dr.'s say this is the most difficult part of the brain it could possibly be and are not expecting a good outcome. HOWEVER OUR GOD IS GREATER OUR GOD IS STRONGER AND HE IS IN CONTROL! We will all stand and fight this and WE WILL BEAT THIS! We are so grateful for the prayer warriors who have came to pray over Brison and for the love and support we have received from so many. So many people have asked what they can do for us and all we are asking right now is for God to be flooded with prayers being sent. #standandfight #kickcancersass
