Rick Eaton is currently battling advanced stage colon cancer. Rick has taken care of so many people, loved with all his heart and put other's needs ahead of his own. He is the father of three amazing kids and the husband of his beautiful Leslie.
Rick is a musician and has encouraged children and adults alike all around him to find the music in their souls. He owns a small music shop and repairs instruments for local schools. For anyone that knows that world, it is a labor of love more than anything. Since he has been self-employed, with another partner that has sadly, just recently passed away, insurance was considered a luxury for him that he would have to do without. He would sacrifice anything for himself to help another, even health insurance. As you probably know there are so many expenses to having surgery for cancer and now chemotherapy since it has already spread.
Leslie and Rick would not ask anyone for this help.... but the hearts of people who want to do something have been asking how they can help. This is genuinely heartwarming and touching to see the true nature of the people around him. I know this is something they were neither prepared for nor would anyone wish for, but here they are and they are ready to fight this! As you will see in the video, his story is not over, and he is not ready to put this book down, as long as there is a page left to turn, he will be doing so.
Please know your prayers and love are needed most and so appreciated. If you are able to help and would like to donate, the funds will go towards covering the cost of the extensive stay in the hospital from surgery, loss of work, and his future treatments. We are hoping to ease the mounting financial pressure and fear, so they can concentrate on healing and fighting this beast of a disease.
Rick's tumor was quite advanced, and it will take everything he has to overcome this, but we are certain that with the help from his physicians, your help and God's, the next chapter of his life, will be titled "survivor". If you cannot help at this time, please feel free to simply leave him some words of encouragement and brighten his day.
Of course, sharing this information to friends and family is important. We don't know everyone in his circle and certainly couldn't possibly know all the lives of the people Rick has touched that would like to help.
