Richard Gibson's Medical Fund

Many of you have noticed his absence and have asked “where is Richard”.  Mr. Richard Gibson has been a part of our business for many many many years.  He is not only a dedicated employee, he is a son, a father and a grandfather. The man never takes time off and is always willing to do whatever needs done. He has helped so many people change their lives for the better, encouraging them every step of the way.

Today I am asking anyone who knows Richard, anyone who he has helped along the way, anyone whose life he has touched with his smile and gentle demeanor to HELP RICHARD with any donation, $1, $5 $10 anything will be greatly appreciated by him. He is a private man who does not share a lot about himself.  When he is at work, “it is about his clients, not about him or his struggles”.

I am saddened to report that Richard has been in the hospital since July 18th in ICU. You see even those that look like they drink from the fountain of youth, take care of their bodies and eat healthy fall on difficult times.  Richard had what he thought was a summer cold back in June.  He went to the Dr., took antibiotics yet nothing really improved.  It wasn’t until the morning of July 18th that he waived the white flag of defeat and drove himself to the ER when he could no longer breath.  Even then, Mr. independent didn’t call 911, he drove himself.  That is typical Richard who does not like to ask for any help.

Richard developed a viral infection back in June which has attacked his heart.  He has had some very rough and scary days since being admitted to the hospital.  Due to the infection and poor blood flow, his liver and kidney function declined as well as his heart which is only functioning with 15% ejection fraction.  (This number should be 55-70%). Basically, the left Ventricle is not pumping, which is causing him to retain an excessive amount of fluid around his lungs.  On top of this issue, he has had several mini strokes in the past 6 days and had a small brain bleed.  At this time, they are treating symptoms and unable to make a treatment plan until he is more stable.

Richard like so many people, does not have insurance due to the high cost of coverage. Even with employer contribution % it was just too much for him.  Any donation you can give will be so greatly appreciate by him and help with is medical bills and recovery. It has taken 6 days for me to get him to agree to allow me to share his situation and ask for help. I hope you will find it in your heart to give back to a man who has given so much to so many and if you can’t give financially please give in prayer.  God is great and we are asking for his hands to heal Richard, in Jesus name we Pray.
