Lamar Consolidated High School graduate and 12-year Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Rick Garcia and Family, needs your help.
March 11th, 2018 Rick Garcia was involved in a hit and run accident that left him with severe brain damage, the inability to walk, talk and is cared for by his Mother, Maria Garcia of Richmond, TX, 24 hours a day. Maria has not left her son Rick’s side in 9 months and has recently retired from her Alief School District position of 36 years to take care of her son, Rick.
Rick’s many health conditions require weekly, sometimes biweekly, doctors’ appointments and transporting Rick through ambulances is very expensive. Aside from doctors’ appointments, Maria is unable to leave her home with Rick because she does not have a handicapped equipped vehicle.
We are asking for cash donations that will go toward purchasing a handicapped equipped vehicle for Rick, a donated handicapped equipped vehicle and/or your help in helping us get the word out to provide this basic transportation necessity to Rick and his Mother Maria.
