A Little Down On My Luck

Hello! My name is Keara Arnold and I am second year college student attending UC Santa Cruz. 

These past few months, financially, have not been the easiest on myself and my family. Due to circumstances out of my control, I am in a position where I don't have any financial aid at the moment. In addition, I also have a hold on my account which is preventing me from enrolling in the courses I need to take to graduate on time. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burdern that comes with being a college student from a working-class family.

I currently have a $675 hold on my account with an additional $55 late fee. I am hoping to raise just enough money as soon as possible to remove the hold so I won't have to forefit credit for classes that I need. I should be recieving my financial aid in about 4 to 6 weeks, but because I am on a quarter system, it will be too late to petition for the credits.

I plan on double majoring in Theatre Arts and Politics with a minor in Education, which is why my time and the classes I need to take are so valuable. 

If you are able to donate any amount, no matter how small, I will be truly greatful. I know that it is not always easy setting aside money for someone else's expensive, but I've exhausted all other resources that could help provide me with immediate relief.
