Tish Vanoni Cancer Treatment Fund

Tish Vanoni is a young wife and mother who has endured immense hardships in the past few years. She was in a severe car accident in 2012, hit by a drunk driver, and was in an induced coma to save her life. She healed miraculously, but was left with physical injuries and traumatic brain injury. In the spring of 2015, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and learned she has the BRCA2 cancer gene. She proceeded to have a double-masectomy, underwent chemotherapy and had her ovaries and tubes removed. By Christmas she thought she was cancer free.

In January 2016, her hopes were dashed and she was diagnosed with thryoid cancer and the doctors are monitoring suspicious nodes on her lungs which may prove to be cancerous as well. Needless to say the news is devastating and very concerning. Tish still isn't fully recovered from the four surgeries she had in 2015 and at this time has opted out of having surgery as she feels her immune system and body just aren't up for it. Her traditional medical team respects and understands her wishes, but they aren't offering other options.

Tish knows that in order to build up her immune system again and get to the true root of the cause of all of this cancer, she is going to need to look outside of her Kaiser Permanente providers. Her first wish is to find a more natural way of healing her cancer, but going this route is very expensive and not covered by insurance. The treatment center she has researched and hopes to go to is out-of-state and will cost more than $27,000 - for treatment, travel and lost wages. Tish would like to get this treatment before her follow-up appointment for the thryoid cancer in July 2016. To secure her spot she needs funding as soon as possible.

Tish is a part-time worker for MOPS International and her husband Dave is a special education teacher in Colorado - they are still picking themselves up financially from everything that happened with her car accident and the first cancer diagnosis, on top of supporting their adorable nine and seven year-old sons. It would be a blessing to them if we could assist in raising the funds so she can get the treatment she needs to stave off cancer once and for all and be healthy and home for her wonderful boys and husband.
