Return to Standing Rock

Donation protected
Hundreds of us from the Pacific Northwest and thousands of us from around the world traveled to Oceti Sakowin camp in North Dakota as allies to the Standing Rock Sioux and the protection of water.  It was a beautiful show of support. But snow arrived fast and some visitors departed rapidly, leaving debris. Floods are coming soon. The entire camp needs to be taken down and equipment must be packed up.  Anything left at camp during flooding will be carried down the Missouri River causing environmental problems.

The Standing Rock Sioux have asked those of us who have been there before and can endure frigid conditions to return to camp as soon as possible to help with cleanup.  About 20 of us from the Pacific Northwest are returning on February 25th. We are a 100% self-supporting group and we are paying for our personal costs.

We are seeking financial support for supplies, equipment, and fees to clean up camp. Additionally, we received notice that water filters and some basic survival items are needed.

Thank you so much for any donation, including prayers.

Below are photos I took in November at camp Oceti Sakowin - you can see with your own eyes what peaceful, weaponless, protection of water looks like.
