Retail - TV Series Pilot

"Retail" is a comedy-drama TV series that is currently in pre-production for a pilot episode.
The story follows Benji, an 18 year old who just graduated from high school and has picked up a job in a grocery store as a bagger. Unlike the rest of the kids in his community, he doesn't have a plan for what's next and is letting life pass him by. His final summer of high school is kicked off with a new face and an unlikely bond. Benji's last hurrah of youth will be a difficult yet unforgettable journey as he tries to overcome his anxiety and begin his next chapter.
We have the basic equipment we need to begin shooting however we require support to pay for location permits, transportation, craft services, and actors. We are looking to have our funds together to begin shooting by March.
If you enjoy small independent films and/or lighthearted drama then this project has something for you. We are extremely grateful for any support you can give to help us tell this story and hone our craft as we get ready to finish up high school ourselves.

The video attached below is the previous project my team and I produced which won first place at the Lark Student Filmmaker Showcase, was a semi-finalist at the Newark IFF Youth Festival, and screened as an official selection at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
