Rest In Peace Jordan

JORDAN McGrady had bought a ring for his mother Joanne Ashford as a Christmas present.

But the 17-year-old never had the chance to hand the gift to her.

On December 14, he came off his motorbike at Largs Bay and died in hospital that night.

Ms Ashford, 45, found the ring in her son’s room days later when she also discovered he had bought Ed Sheeran concert tickets for her July birthday, a secret the teenager was keeping until the tickets arrived in the mail.

“I never got to thank him for the presents,” she said.

“That was the kind of person he was ... it was a happy surprise but really sad.”

“The most important thing to Jordan was his family, he showed unconditional love to everyone and always made time for his nieces and nephews. He was the sort of person who would be there for anyone no matter what they needed. He was an incredible person I was lucky enough to call him my brother and I will love and miss him forever.”
