Rescuing Hurricane Florence Dogs
Redemption Paws is dedicated to helping dogs impacted by natural disasters and are ready to deploy to the Carolina's to help with dogs already waiting in rescue that have been impacted by Hurricane Florence.
Redemption Paws has been asked by shelters in North Carolina and South Carolina to help take dogs to Canada to be rehomed.
Please note: these are dogs that were already homeless and unclaimed before the hurricane and have weathered the storm.
We plan on bringing down donations and supplies.
The funds will be used to cover the cost of our vehicle transport (the dogs are transported in temperature controlled vans while in comfortable crates).
Last year Redemption Paws helped over 250 dogs impacted by Hurricane Harvey and have found them homes in the Toronto/GTA area of Canada.
We want to continue this mission and help shelters/rescues who are struggling with the influx of abandoned dogs, on top of the existing homeless dogs that were waiting before the storm.
Since evacuations create an influx of abandoned/surrendered dogs, the dogs who were waiting for help have little hope of adoption in the months following the disaster.
