Rescuer needs your help!

On 1-15, Toocee started acting weird and eating an enormous amount of grass, dirt and sticks......while I was stopping her, she passed out.  So, I rushed her to the ER and they did X-rays and got her stablized.  She had a stick in her esophagus that they were able to remove.  That was $430 for that, but she seemed okay, so they sent her home for me to watch her.  I was still concerned as to why she was acting so strangely and eating all the grass and dirt.  So, on Monday the 16th I took her to our Vet.  They found that she had a huge ball of something strange in her stomach and at this point, she was lethargic and trying to vomit, although nothing would come up.  Exploratory surgery was our only option.   That was scheduled for Tuesday the 17th as they wanted to keep her on fluids overnight to rehydrate her. Her surgery went well and they found a soccer ball sized ball of string, thread, grass, sticks and mud impacted in her stomach and intestines.  Seems she had eaten the string and in an effort to correct that by eating grass, she got scared, over did it and impacted her entire system.  Dr Sanders did an awesome job and got her totally cleaned out and luckily there was no damage to her intestines or colon.   She is now on a softer diet for a while and we watch her very closely.  On 1/31, she got her 27 staples out and got a good report from Dr Myers!  She is doing great now and is definitely on the road to being her old self again.
Now, some background.....As many of you know, on June 26th, my heart was broken in two when I lost my 13 yr old Rellik to Cancer and my 10 yr old Pancho to kidney failure on the same day.  I have done rescue for over 30 years and have seen so much heartache, but this was more than I could handle.  I was a mess and Toocee (named ToSaveMe and nicknamed Toocee) came into my life in July.  She had lived a horrible life at the end of a chain being bred to use her puppies for bait :(.   I felt like Rellik had sent her to me to help me heal my broken heart and it has definitely helped me for sure.  She is my constant companion and new best friend.  I had to do all I could to save her as I don't think I would have made it if something had happened to her.   Shores Animal Hospital was kind enough to let me charge her surgery and care, but now I have to get this paid asap.  I have saved over 32,000 lives with your help in the past years andplaced those animals into forever and loving homes. Now, I am begging for your help with saving my own baby.  If you can donate any amount at all, it would be appreciated more than you can imagine.  If you would rather donate directly to our Vet, that is fine too.  All you need to do is call Shores at [phone redacted] and tell them the donation goes toward Toocee's bill.  If you would like to ask any questions or donate another way, please just email me at [email redacted] or just donate through this link.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support for my Rescue, my Sanctuary and for myself and Toocee too.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I do want everyone to know that yes, the awesome Doctors at Shores give us a huge break on costs.  Toocee's surgery discount totalled $973!
