It had to be like a real nightmare for this little creature, but I couldn't get the smile off my face. Not b'cuz of the fact that this animal was mistreated by his 'owner', that he was skinny or scared. But I knew his days of fear were over. So I opened his crate and there he goes.. Surprised by a surrounding he could only have dreamed of, waiting for a better life to start. "
Exactly one year ago we, Sharon & Guy, moved away from our little house in Belgium to start the Repzootic Animal Center in the South of Hungary. And this with only one reason; to house (exotic) animals who need a permanent home.
Since that day we've welcomed a lot of animals at our place. Normal animals like dogs, cats, rabbits and more. But also exotic ones. Mostly kept as a pet by not experienced keepers or exotic animal collectors. Most of them are mistreated, harmed or just abandonned. In Repzootic they get a second chance to find happiness in a nice enclosure with other animals of the same species.
But these rescues come with a price. A price we are always willing to pay, but not always possible to give. That's why we need some help!!
PROJECT NOSE; Last month we got a call from an association who rescues exotic animals from collectors. Not from real hobbyist, but from people who don't give a shit about the animals they have. This person has some ring tailed coati's housed in rabbit cages. Is that a right way to keep them? NO! Not at all. So they started the war to set those animals free. One of them came to Repzootic already. His name is Diego and he lost his tail in this war. Just like a little bobtail he's now happily running around in his temporary cage. Waiting for his friends to join him. But also waiting to enjoy his 100m² new enclosure.
We need a lot of money to make this enclosure perfect for coati's. Please help us with Project Nose!
