Lets Help Replace Woodsy's Bicycle
Yesterday, our friend's son was in a horrible accident. He was riding his bike on Loudon Road and someone driving a car decided to drive recklessly and possibly race a motorcycle, causing said motorcycle to swerve and jump the curb. The motorcycle ran over our friend's son and demolished his bicycle. (see picture above) "Woodsy" as he is affectionately known has put alot of time and money into this bicycle - he's been building it for a year. It was a Specialized Hardrock Comp with disc brakes, shocks, killer tires and 24 speeds. he just put new brakes on it, a new chain, new tires, and had a complete tune-up done to the bike. New front and rear lights, new water bottle holder and bottle - this was Woodsy's project. He LOVED this bike. Now, not only does he have to heal from his multiple injuries- a dislocated shoulder that has been reset, a broken thumb on the opposite hand, and an ankle that has been shredded and will need surgery as well as other bumps and bruises; he also does not have his beloved bike when he IS able to ride it again. Things were going well for this young man, he had a job interview on Monday and his bicycle would have been his mode of transportation. He will have to wait now, but let's all help him get a new bike when he is back on his feet and able to work!! Any donation will help - and all funds will be to replace his bike and/or buy the kid a new pair of sneakers since they were demolished as well.
