Cheshire Dogs Home Stolen Van

Cheshire Dogs home This weekend saw a team of volunteers and 11 dogs travel down from Cheshire Dogs Home in Warrington to the National Pet show at the NEC Birmingham. Five of the dogs were looking for their forever home and had been taken out of their kennels to travel in luxury by car to the Travel lodge in Streetly Birmingham. The dogs stayed in the hotel rooms with their handlers for the weekend where they displayed their true personalities of loving, relaxed amazing dogs. The show was going amazing well for us and we were selling dog toys and raffle tickets to raise funds for the amazing rescue center, Cheshire Dogs Home. On Saturday night after the show we had made the decision to travel back up north with our van to restock as we had sold alot of the toys we had taken and didn't want to be caught short on the Sunday. We were all so happy with Saturday, we had sold lots of raffle tickets, toys and Micheala strachen and met our rescue dogs and tweeted for us to raise awareness of their plight. Saturday night exhausted we all headed back with the dogs to the hotel and bedded down for the night, Simon was back with the van fill of stock and We were ready for another great day on Sunday. SO you can imagine the devastation we felt Sunday morning to find our van had been stolen. The van is customised to carry dogs and our stand to shows around the country and without it we are restricted to what we can achieve in promoting the charity and our rehoming of so many lovely dogs. The van was parked at the Toby Carvery, next to the Streetly Travel Lodge Birmingham. White Transit Reg EK10 ESS. One of our volunteers has set up a fund raising page to raise funds for Cheshire Dogs Home which we are so greatful for. The exhibitors atvtge National Pet show rallied round and donated things we could sell on Sunday and we are eternally grateful the support and well wishes and donation got us throu the rest of the weekend.
