Replace Mr. Garcia's Stolen Car

Mr. Garcia is the beloved Behavioral Specialist at Lincoln Elementary, a Title I School in Corvallis, Oregon. I have the pleasure of having him as a wonderful co-worker. Every day he communtes 40 minutes to Lincoln Elementary so he can work with some of the Corvallis community's most at-risk youth. As a Behavioral Specialist he supports students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. His work helps ALL students succeed in school. On the average day, you'll see Mr. Garcia greet students at drop off,  walk through classrooms to check on students, provide a positive male role model for students who truly need it, and help the children at  our Dual Immersion elementary school to feel valued, cared for, and appreciated. 

On September 28th, Mr. Garcia's car was stolen from the Lincoln Elementary parking lot. After a month of searching, nothing has turned up. He was informed that insurance would give him the current value of his car. Due to the number of miles on his car (much in part to commuting to Lincoln each day) the amount he'll get from insurance will pay for him to get a semi-reliable used car, at best. 

Mr. Garcia has been working hard toward retirement, working full time and even at Beaver games on the weekends for additional income. Having to buy a car since his was stolen has put financial stress on his entire family. The goal of this campaign is to raise at least $5,000 to help Mr. Garcia and his family buy a quality used vehicle so he can safely travel to and from Lincoln Elementary each day. 

This man is hard-working, kind, an excellent role model, and a true gentleman. He loves sports of all kinds, supporting his OSU Beavers, and assisting children to succeed in school. He has no idea I've started the campaign, and would probably tell me NOT to since he's never asked for help from others, only giving instead. 

Please consider helping Mr. Garcia. I cannot think of a more deserving person to benefit from the love and kindness of others! All money raised will go directly to his family in order to purchase a reliable vehicle.
