Repairing the Blaze

My name is Mike Napiorkowski, and I'm the last undergrad Sigma Chi involved with the Fontiersmen. I wanted to give y'all an update about The Blaze. As you may have noticed at the games, our beloved siren has not been sounding off when we score. Due to transporting the blaze back and forth from Pearland where we have been keeping it, the control board has died. After speaking with the company we purchased the current board from, we were informed it was discontinued in 1998. Rather than do a patch job that will inevitably fail again, we are try by to replace it with a newer board. The cost of this will be just over $3000. We have been working towards raising the money ourselves, but without funding from the University it is proving to be a challenge. 

We bumped up the total 500 dollars in an attempt to cover the additional expense of express shipping, and the 5% service charge from using this site.

UPDATE 10/9/17: Meeting our goal overnight was truly amazing. The Frontiermen appreciate your help more than you can ever know. Moving forward, any excess raised here will go directly towards funding a storage facility closer to campus to avoid this happening again.
