Ryan and Kristen met in 2006, were married in 2013, and welcomed their first child in December 2017. Throughout their journey together, they have moved seven times, making memories in California and Arizona while Ryan pursed his dream of becoming a doctor.
The Kirk Family recently made their final move to McAllen, Texas where Ryan will be completing his Residency over the next three years. Ryan and Kristen were able to purchase their first home together in McAllen. However, the house that they purchased 10 days ago, is no longer their home due to being evacuated because of the heavy rain fall that is flooding McAllen. Ryan and Kristen still had many of their belongings in boxes that were not unpacked yet because their house needed some TLC.
Being new to the area, Ryan and Kristen were not informed that the weather can be so extreme and cause flooding. Ryan and Kristen do not have flood insurance and will need to pay for repairs out of pocket.
Ryan, Kristen, their 6 month old son, two cats, and their dog are awaiting to discover what damage their home will have after they are able to return to their house. With Ryan in Medical School and Kristen taking care of their son, this will be an extreme stress on their family.
