Remmi’s Emergency Vet Fundraiser

Last week, our precious Remmi had a horrible accident... we don’t know exactly what happened, but we found her severely injured and needing immediate emergency help. 

She was rushed to an emergency after hours vet, and was in surgery for 5 hours. She has countless stitches, had to have her ear surgically removed due to damage and had to have a drain tube inserted in the back of her head. 

Our whole family is absolutely devastated. She is Ian’s beloved dog, but is a true family member! The likely cause of the injuries is a dog fight. Our family had been taking turns watching all of the family dogs (5). The dogs had all been together for 5 days without so much as a snarl. According to two top trainers, apparently sometimes younger dogs can develop “pack mentality” and attack the oldest dog in the herd. We feel like this is most likely what happened, although all of the family dogs are so gentle and kinds it’s impossible to imagine any of them hurting sweet Remmi!

I know it’s a lot to ask, but we are hoping and praying all of our friends and family can donate a few dollars here and there to help offset the costs of her emergency vet bills. 

The vet was first worried about her even living, and she pulled through... then we were really scared about infection... and she’s fought yet off..but now she will need a second surgery as the skin is pulling away from her skull and the vet wants to try to fix it so she can heal.
