Remembering Stephen Bollman

Sadly, on Monday September 16th 2019 we lost an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Stephen passed away suddenly and too young at forty six years old leaving us all in grief and shock. Trying to express in words the person we loved and his impact on the lives he touched is near impossible.

Three words that describe the immense personality of Stephen ... Laughter, Family, and Sports.

Laughter
He filled the room with his infectious energy. If you knew him you probably were given some clever nick name that only he greeted you with. His silly antics of practical jokes, goofy sounds, and ridiculously good impersonations always kept you guessing. He considered himself an honorary member of every band with his ability to mimic the lead singers vocals as confirmed by the trapped car passengers. His light heartedness and charming personality made home and work full of laughs.

Family
Patricia, Jacob, Bella, his mother, Lori, his sister, Natasha, and his cousin, Aaron, were everything to Stephen and if you knew him you were is family too, he would have given you the shirt off his back. He worked hard to provide the best life for them. Teaching his children to be grateful for what you have and the importance of hard work. Sometimes the hard work was getting up at 6am to do yard work, sometimes it was shooting free throws until you made 10 in a row, or sometimes it was doing the extra credit in school,” because we don’t just do the minimum”. Stephen was very proud of demonstrating the reward of hard work and was able to buy a house for Patricia and him and all their “puppies” to call home.

Sports
His passion for playing, watching, and coaching transferred to his children. He was a number one fan of the 49ers, Warriors, the Giants, and most importantly Jacob and Bella. He traveled to the away soccer tournaments, shouted words of encouragement from the stands, volunteered to coach, and never missed a game. He challenged Jacob and Bella to be their best and rooted for them always.

Stephen was beloved by his family and will be missed beyond what words can express. They need the help of those that knew him to fund the expenses of his cremation and celebration of life, date to come, and allow them a moment to breathe finically while trying to figure out what the next steps are with him gone. They would love to hear your stories of laughter, family, sports, and how he touched your life. Please add to the comments your stories and pictures.
