Remembering Presten "PP" Pinnell

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maya Wilkins. I am raising money on behalf of my family to support funeral and medical costs for my beloved cousin Presten Pinnell who passed away Sunday March 19th 2017. Recently, our family has experienced tragedy no one should have to face. Earlier this month my uncle, Presten's father, suddenly collapsed outside after having a heart attack. My uncle was rushed to the hospital where he died just a few short hours later. My aunt was quickly thrown into  planning a funeral for her husband and father of her 4 children Paige (27), Patrick (24), Presten (20), and Peter (17).  This was a very emotionally and financially draining hardship for our entire family.

After a few weeks of mourning his father, Presten decided to getaway with a few friends to go on a road trip to try and resume some sense of normalcy as a 20 year old. He was traveling to South Padre Island, Texas but what was supposed to be a fun getaway with friends, quickly turned into our family's worst nightmare. Presten fell from a balcony and was left in cricital condition in the ICU. Being from St. Louis, Presten's mother was informed and caught the next flight from St. Louis to Texas in the wee hours on Saturday morning (March 18th). Presten's body was broken but our spirits remained strong in prayer. Doctors informed my aunt that Presten's injuries were great but not fatal. Our family remained very positive about Presten's recovery. Yesterday we received the call that Presten lost his fight. He passed away around noon Sunday March 19th with his mother at his bedside. We are heartbroken and devastated.

Presten had a smile that lit up any room and the personality to match. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many. He was a college student at the University of Central Missouri studying Occupational Health and Safety and an accomplished scholar. At MRH highschool, Presten was extremely active in choir, played trumpet in the school band, was a varsity starter in football and baseball, recipient of several awards, an active volunteer with the College Bound program as well as the APA (Animal Protection Association) in St. Louis, and was a lifeguard/swim instructor at the community pool. Presten touched so many lives in his short years and lived fully and selflessly.  He will be dearly missed and we want to honor him as we send him to heaven. Any contributions will help, no gift is too small. We love you and appreciate the outpour of love and support.
