Like most people, the first time I met you was at a party. 
We were looking at eachother from accross the room, both singing along to a non-famous Azelia Banks track. 
Our first moment of magic was the realization that we both knew the words and no one else did.
Since then, we became very close and I got to know a whole bunch of other wonderful people that eventually became known as the squirrels.
You had a gift for bringing people together.

Despite all the club drama and social media mess that can occur these days, you always found the right words and the right way to make everybody happy and welcome except when they weren't...! You knew when to raise your voice and when not to.  You were poised and soft but when it came down to your friends you were very fierce and protective.
Your home was a shelter to us, a get-away ticket, a place where everything was possible. Your door was always unlocked and your heart always open. 

There was always more time spent getting ready, than time spent at the actual event. That was the beauty of it.  We even missed a NYE countdown 'cause we got carried away with our looks and make-ups, but at least we were all together. You were always fashionably late but always excused and worshiped at your arrival.

You often joked about your death and the celebrations that should come with it. I cannot believed we are there now. I can barely write all of this. You have changed a lot of people and the way they see themselves including myself. I am broken but I won't let you down.

I created this fundme to help the family pay for the funeral. We need to come together! 
I want us to raise as much as we fcking can, to give this Queen a proper goodbye.

The spirit of Benaiah will live through us and through what he created for us.
