Hurricane Relief 4 Veteran's Family

Donation protected
This family needs your help to get out of Puerto Rico!

My cousin Maggie and her fiance Marvin (an honorable Navy Veteran) moved from Maine 2 years ago with their young daughter Sadie to San Juan, Puerto Rico so that Marvin could continue his education at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Marvin had just started his final year when the hurricanes hit San Juan. Maggie and Sadie were able to evacuate before the second hurricane hit, but Marvin and the family dog stayed behind with their belongings, hoping things would soon return to normal, but the conditions in Puerto Rico have only gotten worse. There is no electricity and temperatures are in the 90's. Gas, food, and drinking water are in short supply and cell phone communication is unreliable, and often nonexistent. Food is bought daily because refrigeration is not possible and the sellers are quadrupling prices...a ham & cheese sandwich (if you can find it) will cost $17. With a curfew in effect, safety is a major concern as people struggle to survive day by day.

Maggie and Marvin have been committed to each other for the past 8 years and had planned to be married this December. For years, they had planned and dreamed of buying a home and settling down in St. Croix, USVI after Marvin graduated from law school next May. Unfortunately, St. Croix was also destroyed and their plans are changing out of necessity. They have lost so much...from simple necessities as power, water, and food to their very idea of home and normal.

My hope is that with your help we will be able to help Maggie and her small family reunite and move them back to the states to find a new home and allow Marvin to finish law school. The stress that these 2 disasters have had on this family is immeasurable, and the costs associated with leaving the island are high.
Please help this loving family reunite so that they may continue to provide a safe and stable environment for each other as well as their young daughter. Marvin has bravely served our country, and he and his family deserve to be helped in their greatest time of need.
