Relief for Dominic- CampFire Displacement

Dear Friends and Family -

My cousin Dominic Reed is in need of immediate relief and support to help him recover from the recent Campfire in Paradise, CA. This is heartbreaking for he and our family.

Dominic is resilient, he took himself off the streets and into safe and secure home. Prior to the fire he was providing for himself and his dog, and now the fire has taken away that home and safety.

Every person in Paradise and the surrounding communities are faced with a mountain of trauma and needs for basic supplies, housing, medical attention, mental health support, and a transition plan.

For Dominic this is also true. He is a beautifully perfect Transman, which makes gaining those resources from the larger community even more difficult.  The mountain he is climbing is frankly, exhausting.  

He has worked a lifetime to live in his light and to create safety in his life. 

Dominic is a survivor, but he is tired and he needs us. He is asking for help, so lets show up for him.  He has healthcare & housing needs that are urgent!

In his own words...

"Here is whats left of my home in paradise. Took me forever to get this trailer and not be on the streets anymore. May have not been much but it was a truly appreciated roof over our head for me and my dog.

I was hoping to never be homeless again but life had other plans I guess. Not really good at asking for help, its actually really hard for me.

I'm used to being the person who helps others, even it means I go without. Which is ok with me but right now I'm really stuck and don't know what to do.

I am so overwhelmed and lost and the only one's I'm really worried about is my dog and the people I care about. A new travel trailer or something would be amazing so my dog and I can finally relax and not have to stress so much.

My dog had gotten sick from all the stress and I was so afraid I was going to lose him. He is my companion/emotional support animal and my best friend. Thankfully the vets at the Gridley fair grounds gave him some meds and saved him. I don't know what I would do without him, he is all i have left.

We are currently couch surfing. I know I have needs too right now but i can put all that aside just to get another trailer or some place we can call home. Then I can work on rebuilding the stuff i need for me. I don't really know what else to say. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even a smile and maybe,  "an everything is gonna workout and be ok one day."
