My name is Jenn and I need your help.
For much of my life, I have battled anorexia and now recently, alcoholism. I have learned that anorexia and alcoholism are two diseases that's affected my family in the past and now me.
I believed for many years I was smart enough and kind enough to figure this all out and tried to beat it all on my own. I thought that obsessive cycling and helping others would "save" me. In January 2015, I contacted my employer to get help through my short term disability benefits but instead was let go from my job on the basis that my position was being eliminated. My short term disability was denied and since then my situation has gotten a lot worse.
I have been struggling to find a new job but more so, I need help with my addiction because it is consuming me. I have chosen to seek treatment with a 30 day rehabilitation program with Courage to Change . They are located in Monument, Colorado and have a wonderful residential recovery program that is tailored to my needs.
This is my request for help which doesn't come without a cost. It's hard for me to humbly ask for assistance when I'm used to giving it but I can't afford this alone. The treatment isn't cheap but I realize it will save my life. Although the rehab center does allow a payment plan to be set up, I'm asking for help to pay the $20,000 bill.
I realize I have a lot to live for including for my 5 year old daughter who I love very much. I want to live and beat this disease. Any amount you can give will greatly be appreciated. I will post updates as I can about my progress and I thank you now for your prayers and support.
