Get The Man A Van

£2,005 of £2,500 goal

I am raising funds to help buy a reliable camper van for one of this country's finest singer-songwriters. My job is to find gigs, festivals and organise tours for Reg Meuross. Reg is possibly now one of the busiest touring troubadours in the UK. This is really great (of course!) but the schedule is often punishing and the geography of the touring often means that he spends a lot of his hard-won (and really not huge) earnings on strategically placed hotels between gigs, many of which are fundraisers for good causes. To have a safe and completely private space to relax, sleep and possibly even cook in and make a cuppa when on tour would not only save him a lot of money, but also a huge amount of stress.  I'm aiming to raise the funds before he goes back on the road, mid January.

We have already had some very kind offers from some very kind fans. Raising further funds means the difference between an old banger and something reliable, which will get one of our National treasures to and from gigs reliably and ensure he can rest his head in comfort and privacy.

Any help towards this will be gratefully received and rewarded by a personal thank you, a preview track from his next album (yes there's a next album) and a handwritten lyric of your favourite Reg song.  Any donations of £500 or over will be entitled to a house concert, Reg Meuross singing to you and your friends in your own home.

Thank you for any help you can give.

What people are saying:

"I believe in you Reg. I support you values and you write terrific songs. Anything that helps you to get about and share your songs needs to be supported.” Charlie

"Reg is a brilliant musician who makes us all think about the world we live in and brings us joy with his music. He deserves to travel in a degree of comfort.”

"I donated because I love Reg Meuross music and also because, as a parent of a professional musician, I understand a little of how difficult it is to make enough money for things like a van. It will ensble Reg to tour in future in comfort with less cost. Good luck to him."

"Reg is one of the last travelling troubadours and he deserves to be recognised for his wonderful songs. Good luck, Reg!” Dave

"Keep on travelling and sharing your magnificent music. And please come back to Cape Town sooner than soon. Even if you have to drive the van! ♥” Marian

"We have enjoyed your music for years, and any way to help you get around to your many fans, more easily, would be good.” Penny

"Got to keep Reg on the road." Kate

“If we get to see Reg more, then everybody is happy!" Martin

"Happy to help. Reg is probably my very favourite singer/songwriter and it’s important he keeps on touring.” Liz

"We saw you arrive in Weymouth last June in your old Skoda and thought "that man needs new wheels!". Happy to help and all the best for 2019 and your new vehicle."
