Reem's Surgery

Reem is a 43-year-old Syrian refugee, who is in need of a desperate need for a sleeve surgery due to her obesity and health issues that are increasing day by day. She contacted several clinics here in Ireland, but unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is way too high and the hospitals in the public sector a very long waiting list, and her condition is worsening by the day which is effecting on her daily activities.
Since 1992, she started getting fibroids on the outside of the womb which led her to have 8 surgeries in Syria and a 9th surgery here in County Meath after a lot of suffering for two years and it was unsuccessful. Her situation is causing her to bleed daily nonstop. She requested the doctors and her GP to remove the womb which has cancer but they are afraid to do that due to her obesity and are refusing it. Her condition is very time sensitive and she needs to do the surgery as soon as possible.
Apart from the sleeve surgery she is asking about the expense of the surgery of the womb. After searching a lot about the most suitable, best and cheapest place to do that, we found that the best place would be in Pakistan. With the total cost of the surgery being 5000 euros, of which we have already raised 2500 euros but we need your help to raise the rest.
Reem Alhamoud is a friend of mine which I have met a while back through Maisa who is one of my peers in college. Which is how I got to know her and her story, how she left Syria to get away from the war and how her family is in different parts of Europe. Her medical issues started while she was in Syria, where she performed 8 surgeries; after which she had a surgery in Ireland.
I will be withdrawing the money and transferring it to Maisa Al Hariri who is also a Syrian refugee who came to Ireland with Reem. My personal bank (Allied Irish Bank) is the same as Maisa’s which will be how I transfer the money to her. Maisa has been helping Reem with her treatment and will be traveling with Reem to accompany her with her surgery. Maisa has already saved money for the travel expenses, the funds we have raised with GoFundMe are to pay for her surgery which will take place in Pakistan. The hospital is Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, Pakistan. We have already raised 2500/5000 euros but then we realised as students its hard for us to come up with the other 2500 euros, with it being such a large amount of money which is when I got the idea to start a GoFundMe.
