Rediscover America TV Show

Donation protected
As a travel journalist, I've been sharing road trip ideas and positive stories through articles and videos, along with radio and TV appearances since 2013.  I'm also the author of the book 100 Things To Do In America Before You Die.

What I've learned while driving across the U.S. is that things aren't as bad as you may think.  Despite the evening news or what you hear from politicians or cable news hosts - I'm personally quite optimistic.  Why? Because I know better.  I've made hundreds of stops along major highways and rural roads, seeing our country up-close and personal.   I've learned that most stereotypes aren't true, and that all of us pretty much want the same things out of life.   I've also learned that America is an incredible place to live and that most people have no idea how many amazing places are just a road trip away, with fascinating history, great food, and fun things to see and do.

This page was set up to help fund the production of television/video series called Rediscover America.  One question I'm commonly asked by listeners or readers is "When are you going to get your own travel show?"   With the help of other travel enthusiasts and readers/listeners like you - the answer is Fall 2019.

Asking for help is not exactly a character trait I was born with.  I wrestled with the idea of reaching out to friends and fans for months and only recently decided that I think the cause is worth it.  More than ever, people in our country are divided, backed into their own corners and need inspiration.  The goal of the series will be the same that I've had in all of my travel stories: reminding people that 99 percent of Americans are both good and decent, despite our differences and to encourage the public to reject the notion of red states, blue states, and stereotypes of all regions of the country.

I appreciate your interest and consideration.  Be sure to "like" my Bill On The Road Facebook page so you will know the moment the debut season is set to be released.   I appreciate your support and encouragement.  Hope to see you somewhere along the road...

Kindly,

-Bill
