Many of you who will be reading this will know or remember my good friend Ralph (Jaseer). I have known him for the past 22 years. He was in the US since he was 5 years old but the paperwork necessary to make him a citizen was never filled out. All that time he thought he was a citizen, but turns out he was a resident whose papers had expired! He found all of this out when they detained him at an airport upon re-entering the U.S. when returning home from a trip to London. He was held in immigration jail for over a year and was then dropped off in the country he escaped when he was 5 years old: Nicaragua. He was left there without knowing anyone and just had to find out how to survive the best way he could. He was told he could reapply to come back after 5 years, but nothing has happened for him as of yet. It has been close to 6 years since this happened and he lost everything.

Nicaragua is pretty much a war zone. They are on the brink of a civil war. The people are in such a state of desperation that the crime is sky high. He said practically everyday he sees people walk up to cars at the stop lights and they would shoot the driver in the head and pull them out of the car to steal it. The police are killing people by the dozens and driving around with them in the back of trucks in order to intimidate the citizens to obey them. The government is controlling their water and electricity making them pay by the day for it or shutting it off totally whenever they feel like it. He had a job but the pay is minimal and his monthly salary was around what a typical job in the USA pays in two days. He has gotten robbed and attacked several times since he has been there. This last time was really bad and almost cost him his life. After they robbed him of his months check they shot him in the stomach with a .45 calibre and the exit wound blew out a huge hole in his back!

Due to being shot he was immobilized and bed ridden. He has had to be on a liquid diet and use a colostomy bag for months. He lost his job and needed surgery which he has to pay out of pocket for. His rent was overdue and he was in a state of desperation. He reached out to me and asked if I could help. He said he has a job lined up in Costa Rica because they are looking for professionals with good English skills. There are some things he would need to be able to make that migration, but his current situation does not allow him to save anything. He is hoping to be able to get the following in order to keep him afloat until his new job starts to compensate him.

Ticket- $320
Visa- $180
5 months rent- $600
Surgery bill- $400
5 months Food- $500
Medicine- $200

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope and pray that we are able to come together and assist him so that he is able to get out of this dangerous situation and start a new life to support himself and his dependents. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Jaseer and i wanted to reach out to every brothers and sisters that have blessed me with a helping hand. I want to frist and foremost thank my childhood friend Mateen for his support and guidance these past years. I don't want to make the focus of this statement about the bad situations i have endure but rather about how honored and humbled I am by the kindness God has bestowed in each and everyone your hearts. I appriciate each and everyone of your donations whether large or small and again i am truly humbled by the light and kindness in your hearts. As you all know the trials and tribulations God puts in our path are but an opportunity to step into the light of His grace. I am truly honored by the trials God has set in front of me because i know his mercy walks alone side of it. I leave each and everyone one of you in his grace and again i thank you for your kindness and collaboration in this matter.

Thank you for all of the support. Gofundme requested me to give the following info

How you are related to the parties you're raising funds for. A clear statement that you will be withdrawing the funds and delivering them. Information on how and when you will deliver the funds. For your safety, GoFundMe discourages cash transactions, because cash cannot be accounted for should a dispute arise.

1) Ralph is my longtime friend since childhood

2) Once the target goal is met i will be withdrawing the money to send it to him

3) Upon Ralphs request I will send him the money to Nicaragua via MoneyGram which is the safest way as he is able to pick it up in a bank location where there is security.
