Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale has established Rebuild-TX, a grassroots effort that offers assistance to Texans who have been affected by flooding and other damages to their homes related to Hurricane Harvey.

Rebuild-TX provides volunteers who will assist affected Texans in rebuilding their homes by helping to move out any damaged furniture, remove damaged carpet and material underneath, remove damaged wood flooring or damaged tile, and cutting out and removing damaged sheetrock.

Rebuild-TX will offer these particular services to as many people in the Houston TX, Richmond TX and surrounding areas who need help to restore their homes. All funds donated to Rebuild-TX will go directly to these efforts and we thank you for your contributions and support.

Gallery Furniture and Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale would like to thank all of you who have donated and who continue to donate to our Rebuild Texas GoFundMe. Your contributions and support are helping to rebuild Texas and the lives of affected Texans in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

All new donated funds have been distributed amongst the following organizations to reach the intended goals of:

$20,000 to Points of Light, who will support first responder organizations and coordinate its affiliate action centers to support Harvey Relief.

$10,000 to TXRX Labs. TXRX Labs, Houston's nonprofit makerspace, is launching two “Crafters For Good” initiatives to assist in rebuilding efforts.

$10,000 to Crisis Clean-up. Crisis Cleanup is a collaborative disaster work order management platform. It improves coordination, decreases duplication of efforts, enhances efficiency, and improves the volunteer experience.

The remaining funds will be used by the Houston Community ToolBank to provide free tools to organizations working on Harvey Relief.

We are currently $4,077 away from reaching our goal of $107.9K! All of us at Gallery Furniture are so grateful to every person who has helped to make this possible!

God bless you and your family, God bless Houston and God bless Texas!

The Houston Community ToolBank will be accepting the funds raised through the Rebuild Texas GoFundMe. The funds will be distributed to support Harvey Relief work and strengthen the fabric of our community.

$20,000 will be distributed to Points of Light, who will support first responder organizations and coordinate its affiliate action centers to support Harvey Relief.

$10,000 will be distributed to TXRX Labs. TXRX Labs, Houston's nonprofit makerspace, is launching two “Crafters For Good” initiatives to assist in rebuilding efforts. Shop tech Ronnie Devries, is offering one-hour seminars free to the public to help them understand the work that will need to done to repair their homes and the associated costs. For those interested in woodworking, TXRX will offer a “makeathon” where volunteers produce handcrafted furniture for those who lost these items in the floods. To learn more about these programs visit: https://txrxlabs.org/crafters-for-good.

$10,000 will be distributed to Crisis Clean-up. Crisis Cleanup is a collaborative disaster work order management platform. It improves coordination, decreases duplication of efforts, enhances efficiency, and improves the volunteer experience. Crisis Cleanup works best when a large number of voluntary organizations with a lot of volunteers, work together to help a large number of people over a wide area, all at the same time.

The remaining funds will be used by the Houston Community ToolBank to provide free tools to organizations working on Harvey Relief. Since Harvey, the ToolBank has distributed more than $350,000 worth of tools to more than 7500 volunteers representing more than 30 organizations working on Harvey Relief.

Gallery Furniture and Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale would like to thank every Houstonian, every Texan, every American, and everyone from around the world who has rallied with Texas during this difficult time.

From the bottom of our hearts, GF thanks you for your compassion, charity, and kindness. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Gallery Furniture and Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale are thrilled to announce their collaboration with CrisisCleanup, VolunteerHouston and the Houston Community Toolbank.

Crisis Cleanup is the preferred method to collect information from affected Texans if their home is in need of free cleanup services. Crisis Cleanup then works together with volunteer services in order to ensure that volunteers are dispatched to the areas that need it, in the most effective and efficient way possible. Their involvement will ensure that the most affected Texans receive the help they need.

Volunteer Houston is the premier service for helping Houstonians and Texans connect with volunteering organizations for causes that are important to them, or that are in need of their specific skills. Volunteer Houston enables full personalization of one's volunteer profile, and has a number of interests and organizations volunteers can sign up to work with. Additionally, they have a specific section for crisis and recovery efforts. Their involvement will ensure that volunteers are able to offer their time as easily as possible.

The Houston Community Toolbank is a community-based, non profit tool lending program that puts tools in the hands of Houstonians, empowering them to get the job done. During times of crisis, they waive their nominal rental fee, in order to ensure that volunteers have the proper tools to make a positive impact as quickly as possible. Their involvement will ensure that volunteers have the tools they need to assist affected Texans in the cleanup and rebuilding effort.

TX/RX Labs is a non-profit workspace and education project in Houston, Texas, which aims to educate the general public on science and technology topics.TX/RX Labs will be creating pamphlets with flood damage clean up tips containing step-by-step instructions and important safety precautions that should be followed by all people participating in the cleanup process.

In the interest of providing complete transparency, we have created a brief breakdown of where your donations will go:

$30,000 to CrisisCleanup.org
$30,000 to VolunteerHouston.org
$30,000 to HoustonCommunityToolbank.org
$10,000 to TXRXLabs.org
Equaling a total donation amount of $100,000.

We anticipate GoFundMe taking a total of 7.9% in fees, which is $7,900 on $100,00 our new fundraising goal. As such, we have redefined the goal to include the processing fees, for a total new goal of $107,900.00

Gallery Furniture is delighted to work with Crisis Cleanup, Volunteer Houston and the Houston Community Toolbank, and your donations with be efficiently used with these organizations with work overseen by Gallery Furniture, and Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale.

Gallery Furniture and Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale thank you for all that you, and the outpouring of support we have received!
