The collapse of our dream a video....
Willow Grove will be celebrating 25 years of service to the horse industry this year but tragedy struck before the celebration could begin. Record snow collapsed our small indoor arena. We have started young horses, worked the seasoned horses through the winter, given so many lessons and loved the people and horses we get to work with in our little corner of the world. We didn't panick at first until we found out that we hadn't chosen to cover the structure for snow/ice. The structure was rates for 15 inches of snow so we were certain it wouldn't have any problems with winter snow fall here!
While looking at the wreckage, I seriously considered giving up, but there is so much more to give and teach to horses and people! After a lot of prayer, thought, and discussion with family and friends we decided to go forward. I'm not sure how much it will cost to replace the building so I put the sum that it was insured for. I know there is much need out there and I truly want everyone to help whoever is on their heart. If you choose to help us, we hope to use the funds to lessen any debt load we need to rebuild.
The company we are working with to replace the building has yet to get us an estimate but we will keep everyone informed.
Thank you for your involvement with Willow Grove: prayer, thoughts and well wishes mean so much.
