Help Sri Lankan Flood Victims

In the South-West of Sri Lanka there has been flooding that has resulted in over 100,000 people displaced, 200 dead and more still missing. 

Flooding and mudslides have caused great damage to people's lives and livelihoods. The cost of rebuilding,  temporary accomodation, food, clothes and personal items will all be stacking up for those effected. 

It might not be a story that is all over the news but it's the worst flooding that Sri Lanka has seen in 14 years and we should do as much as we can to help. 

I have, through family in Sri Lanka been able to find a local group in Eheliyagoda, Ratnapura District, helping those on the ground.  This money will go towards helping families recover from the floods & provide food and saftey for those displaced.  

My aim is to raise as much money as possible and send it over to those on the ground to assist their efforts to Rebuild Ratnapura. 

We in Australia are very lucky for the safety and security that a developed country like Australian afford its citizens.  Let's do our bit and assist those when we can!
