Rebuild Family Life After Apartment Complex Fire

Our 25-year-old granddaughter and 5-year-old great-grandson lived just 2 apartments down from where the fire started at Breckenridge Apartments in Davenport, Iowa on February 17, 2019.

In an instant, their lives changed. We are grateful that all residents survived the blaze, but so much was lost.

She needs to find housing suitable for her little family. She will basically be starting over with everything, as most of their belongings were lost to significant heat, smoke and water damage. The chemical smell on everything is dreadful.

She is thankful they are safe, and has a positive attitude about their loss, but would welcome any help you are able to give.

They are staying with us temporarily, but needs help with future housing expenses such as damage deposit and rent. Even though she has a job, she did not plan for these “out of budget” expenses.

Any money or gift cards for clothes & shoes, daily needs, toys, furniture & all the things needed to rebuild their household would be greatly appreciated.
