Rebel Femme Presents: March 2.4

Donation protected
March 2.4 is a feminist experiential film bringing to light the
realities of post-traumatic stress disorder afer a sexual assault. The
film gives a voice to survivors by bringing the viewer into the
symptoms of PTSD while focusing on themes of systemic violence
towards women, victim shaming, and sexism.

We're trying to break through the norm but we need help to do it.
This film focuses on bringing fourth the human experience but in order to accomplish this authentically we also need to create space in the industry for emerging women in film. Kaitlyn Adair, founder of Rebel Femme Productions and Writer/Co-Director of March 2.4, is a sexual assault nurse examiner who has been working in social justice and feminist based nursing for 7 years. She has been active in the New Brunswick film community since 2008 and attended Vancouver Film School in 2011. Kaitlyn, along with her talented co-director and dynamic team of film-makers will bring this vision to life.

This film is impactful on many levels. Usually when survivors are portrayed in the media they are either the victims, revenge seeker or they are left out of the narrative all together. This time, we are bringing the survivor to the forefront and showing the audience that a sexual assault changes every aspect of the survivors life.

March 2.4 is more than a film, its a movement. We are focusing on raising awareness/education to this gendered issue while authentically creating space for healing, compassion, and community.  With our cast/crew at 85% female, we are focusing on collaboration to make sure the voice's of all those that are affected by sexualized violence are heard. We are making space on set for women of all backgrounds including having sets that are accessible for humans with disabilities, separating age as a means of classification, and offering group healings on set prior to shooting to address this film's impact on personal mental health.

What We Need From You.
In order to make this film a reality with need to raise 2,000 dollars to cover our costs. Luckily, our cast and crew are volunteers, but we need funds to feed them all, get specialty equipment and cover post-production costs.

We Focus on Collective Healing
We are having fund and awareness-raising events in our local community to enhance healing for survivors as well as our community at large. Our perks for donations are unique in keeping with our vision and will be focused around healing. We want to make an impact on every level including with our awesome perks!
