Reba's Medical Fund

On October 25th, Reba had a seizure at her school and was rushed to the Longmont United Hospital. The seizures did not stop, and she had to be airlifted to the children's hospital for further evaluation.

Reba has remained at the hospital ever since and has been in and out of the ICU several times. She has undergone numerous tests and scans to determine the root cause of the unexplained seizures and inflammation in her brain.

Her medical team has been treating her for a unique and rare autoimmune condition called Auto-immune Encephalitis whereby the body's immune system attacks the brain resulting in frequent seizures, confusion, and other complications. This condition is rare and brought to light by the medical professionals only around 2007.  There are limited resources to treat this condition. Reba has been going under plasma-flush as a part of her treatment plan. Her prognosis has been positive, but she has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

The outpouring of support from the community has been tremendous and her parents (Renu and Basant) are extremely grateful for all the love, prayers, and support bestowed upon Reba.

We all are aware, how quickly the medical bills and expenses accrue in a situation like this putting the family in an emotional distress and in a huge financial burden.

Let us all join hands in solidarity and support for Reba and her family to provide some relief from this unforeseen financial burden. The entire fund will be utilized to pay Reba's medical bills. This fundraising will help Reba and her family,  it will also help to raise awareness about Auto-immune Encephalitis.
