READ-y 2 Run : Let's get Sue out in the Sun

Goal : Raise enough funds to order a Racing Wheelchair for Sue, so that she can enjoy this Pure Michigan Spring/Summer/Fall. I bet you've been around your neighborhood recently, let's get Sue around hers ASAP and back into the thrill of a Race!!
If you know Sue Read, then I am sure you can picture her smile and her zeal for life as you read this! She is a Woman of God, Adventure, Outdoors and Love. She loves living, loves her Mike, Kenny, and Colin - and her friends to the fullest.
A little over a year ago, Sue was diagnosed with Gerstmann–Sträussler–Scheinker syndrome (GSS). It is an extremely rare, usually familial, fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects patients from 20 to 60 years in age. Typical early symptoms: ataxia (gait changes), balance problems, difficulty walking, incoordination. Sometimes Parkinson's-like symptoms.
Since Sue isn't walking on her own, it makes it challenging to be outdoors. Many of us can recall fond memories of racing or training with Sue in various sports or racing disciplines....while her joyous smile gives you the encouragement and inspiration to be your best!
She's still got her joyous smile, encouragement, and inspiration to share! Mike, Kenny, Colin - and I am sure many of us would jump at the chance to push Sue in a local Run, or just around the block.
Let's help her get that Racing wheelchair ordered ASAP - and get the wind blowing her hair in the breeze, again. She will likely be able to use this chair for 4-5 years, and then donate it so another person can become a chaired athlete! Thank you for you help!! Once we have her chair it would be fun to plan a Fun Run with all of you.
