Ready, Set, Launch ICHRP-US!!!

In the wake of an all-time high human rights crisis in the Philippines, we are convening the first national gathering of US-based friends and member organizations of the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP). The over 13,000 extrajudicial killings from the drug war and ongoing Martial Law over Mindanao exacerbated the already worsening human rights situation in the Philippines, which calls for peace and justice advocates everywhere to respond with a sense of urgency and with stronger coordination. ICHRP members and friends here in the United States can indeed make more meaningful and expeditious contributions to the overall efforts of the Filipino masses to defend their rights and to pursue a just and lasting peace.
In light of this, we are so excited to share with you that on December 9th in Vancouver, Washington, we will be launching the formation of ICHRP-US, a global network of organizations outside the Philippines, concerned about the human rights situation in the Philippines and committed to campaign for just and lasting peace in the country. It aims to inform the international community about the grave human rights situation in the Philippines today. Beyond information dissemination, it calls on freedom loving peoples, organizations, political parties, and governments all over the world to express their unwavering solidarity for the Philippines.
In order to make this historic launching of ICHRP-US a success, we need your support. Your donation will bring us closer to our overall goal of $2,000. We have received support from several ICHRP-US member organizations, but we need your aid and generosity to cover the cost of holding this event. Our community is clearly excited and eager to make this event worthwhile. You can be a part of that excitement by supporting our efforts with your donation.
Aside from donating through this gofundme page, an alternative option to donate is by writing a CHECK to "PCHRP" or giving CASH which may be handed to an ICHRP representative in your area/region or turned in at the check-in desk on the day of the event.
