Fund REACT - Help Transform Lives!

Roosevelt Educational Alcoholism Counseling Treatment Center ("REACT Center") is a nonprofit community based organization that has been in operation for 30 years.  We are contracted by Nassau County and licensed by New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS-OASAS).   We are reaching out to you for your support so this valuable service can continue to operate and expand to include:

* Providing more comprehensive services to substance abusers who have co-occurring psychiatric conditions; 

* Providing treatment service to Veterans who are substance abusers and may also suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder);

* Providing treatment service to adolescents whose substance use distract them from age appropriate goals and seduces them to engage in risky behaviors that are detrimental to them and the community.

REACT Center provides substance abuse treatment services and vocational assistance to participants who reside in Roosevelt and the surrounding communities.  We work hand-in-hand with participants and their families through a joined partnership to arrest the addiction process and move towards making meaningful lifestyle changes.  Some of these changes include, pursuing educational goals, re-engagement in employment, and rebuilding family relationships.  The men and women, who turn their lives around, validate that treatment works. 

Every addicted person was once a child filled with the innocence and hope of tomorrow.  The totality of their experiences, some horrific, led them from experimentation to using alcohol or other drugs to cope.  Their continued exposure to substance use resulted in a physical and psychological dependency.  Abstaining from substance use is the first step in their reclaiming their lives.  REACT is here to journey with them, and is calling on you to journey with us.
