Reaching My Potential in Dubai!

Thank You for viewing my campaign! I am Kiauna Freeman, originally from Charles County, Maryland, and I'm a proud Uninversity of Maryland senior studying for my B.A. in Economics
I am happy to announce that I have been accepted to participate in a study abroad program this upcoming winter term in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Macau, China! In addition to learning about each regions' culture, the 2-week program will focus on how each of these cities have economically developed overtime and what approaches they are taking now to become major global economic competitors. I am ecstatic to participate in my FIRST study abroad program that is extremely fitting for me, especially since I am in my final year of undergraduate studies and I don't know when is the next time I will receive an opprtunity like this.
Ultimately, my heart is set on bridging together the wealth gap between wealthy and impoverished American citizens, therefore building a stronger middle class in America. I have a strong passion for developing solutions that will lead to poverty and homelessness alleviation. I wish to discover these solutions through economic policy research and community/urban planning.
Since I have made my $250 commitment deposit, the remainder of the program fee is $2,945, and spending cost for meals and activities would be approximately $350, which totals to $3,295. Thankfully, I have been able to purchase my airfare ticket, and now only need to pay the rest of the program fee to guarantee my spot in the program.
