Georgia Callan, aged four, died tragically on Saturday, 28 July, in a pool accident in Marbella, Spain.

Friends and family of Georgia's parents Emeline and Jacqui are asking for help from our community in raising some economic support for the family.  Along with this heartbreaking loss comes financial burdens. We'd like to gather some support for the family so that they can have some time to heal.

All donations will be transferred directly to Jacqui and Emeline.

We are looking to raise funds to allow them to take time off work, for counselling services, for funeral costs and to relieve this family of financial stresses at this most difficult time.

Having money to access the resources and small comforts they need over the next while will be helpful to them, and allow them to focus on the enormity of the loss without adding financial worries.  Many people are asking "what can we do?"  and right now a small show of financial support is something that people can do to show their love and support to the family.

“Georgia was our own tiny Wonder Woman. A happy, playful, brave, gentle and funny girl, she loved nothing more than making new friends and wearing princess dresses everywhere. Georgia loved everyone, and her pets were amongst her dearest friends.

“She sought beauty, goodness and fun wherever she was. She brought immense joy to our lives and to the lives of everyone who knew her. We love her deeply. We will miss her more than we can say.

“We are devastated by her loss."

Thank you so much. Together we have collected funds to support the family through this awful time. We are now closing the fund.

The loss of a child is so terrible and creates so much room for despair, but knowing that there are so many kind people willing to come together to create a safety net for this family offers us all hope.

Update: We're so touched at the support, generosity and love from so many. As costs around the funeral and immediate future are starting to become clearer, people are asking if they can still donate, and the answer is yes, absolutely. If you've already given and are wondering how you can continue to help, we also appreciate donations to the two charities chosen by Georgia's moms.

Thank you all for your support. Your kindness is wonderful. We have increased the target. The target amount we initially chose is arbitrary, since we still don't know the costs involved. We'll adjust the amount as actualy costs become known.
