Raul Rekow Family Fund
Raul's biggest wish was to make sure his wife Diane would be financially stable upon his passing. He did his best to make this happen, but unfortunately with the quickness of his passing, the mounting medical bills, and now his funeral services--that goal was sadly left unmet.
Please aid us in honoring Raul's wishes, by helping his family overcome some of the regrettable costs associated with saying goodbye to a loved one.
There will be a Celebration of Life held in his honor on Sunday, November 15th from 4pm - 8pm at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. Please accept our gratitude for your donation by joining us for this not-to-be-missed event; there will be live music, sharing of fond memories and smiles all around--just as Raul would want it.
During the month of October, there was a gap in Raul’s insurance coverage. Although the doctors and specialists worked with the family to help make his chemo treatments, check-ups and medications as affordable as possible—this did still put a sizable dent in their savings. It also so happened that it was on October 31st—a mere 7 hours before his insurance was going to kick back in— that a completely necessary (albeit costly) call to the ambulance was made. There is no regret in making that call, and the hospitalization and tests that proceeded it on that day were 100% justified. The timing was just a bit less than ideal, financially.
Raul was one of the most generous people I knew. He gave from his heart and without expecting anything in return. Please continue to help us in honoring his wishes by sharing this campaign, contributing to the fund, and joining us at his Celebration of Life service on Sunday at Great American Music Hall.
Unfortunately, another commitment prevents me from attending this memorable event. but rest assured I will be there in spirit. Still,I continue to mourn the loss of our brother Raul Rekow. The choir of Angels have truly welcomed this joyful spirit at the Gates of St. Peter. Blessings to Rekow family!
I wasn't able to make it this evening, I really hope that the space was full of love and remembrance. Sending lots of love and prayers to Diane and the rest of the family.
