Hello, my name is Rashira Rice from Philadelphia, and I have been living by these words since my first day of high school. After years of very hard work, I found out this November that I was accepted into my dream school, Howard University! This is a huge accomplishment, because as the youngest of 8 children, I will be the first in my family to attend college.

Howard is a dream come true for me, but even after financial aid and scholarships, my bill is still $27,000. I am a student who is completely dependent on my mother, who is the head of our household, and because of this it is very difficult for my family to come up with this money. I would be extremely grateful for any donations, no matter how small, that will help me to afford my dream school.

In return, I vow to not only graduate from Howard, but to go on to law school to fulfill my dream of becoming an attorney. I am determined to succeed!
