Help Ramiro's home for the homeless

Donation protected
Hey you awesome people, who are considering to give their money to help others. Whether or not you decide to donate to this specific charity here – thank you anyway for your interest!

I was lucky enough to meet Ramiro Cardona while traveling Colombia. He dedicated his whole life to help others and now needs help for himself. It's our help he needs, guys!

36 years ago, he founded his elderly home in Chinchiná/Colombia and started picking up homeless people from the streets to care for them.

His elderly home still exists – but Ramiro is 66 years old now and suffers from serious health issues. He's scared about his own death for only one reason:

„My greatest fear is, that – once I’m dead – nobody will care about my people here anymore. That nobody will pay the monthly rent for the house. That my „children“ will be turned back to the streets where they came from – and thus die with me. My biggest dream is to buy a house for them, so that they can live there without anybody paying the rent!“

So how can we help here? First of all, I'm happy about the "keep what you raise"-concept. Every single Euro we can raise helps to make the life of Ramiro and his residents easier and better. They need around € 270 a month – including the rent of the house, food and medicine for 12 people.

I've set the goal high! Because why not shoot for the stars here? In the absolute best case we manage to raise enough money to make Ramiro's biggest wish come true. This best case would be € 18.000: enough money for Ramiro to buy the house he needs to provide his residents with a safe and sustainable place to stay in the future. That's the stretch goal.

By helping Ramiro, we also help his residents!

However much money we raise ... we keep what we raise and the funds will go directly to Ramiro. The whole transfer process will be held transparently. I have friends in Ramiro's hometown Chinchiná, who support the fundraising-project and will make sure that the money ends up where it belongs to: in Ramiro's hands!

If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Just drop me a message!

Thank you for consideration. Thank you for your trust!

All the best,
Jakob
