Asalamu Alikum! My name is Rana Akbari and I live in Mississauga, ON. Canada. I believe Allah swt brought us to a better country so we can help our people in need. Alhamdulillah for last 7 years I have been raising funds on my own to help the needy in Afghanistan during Ramadan, winter etc.
Last Ramadan2017 with your help & support I was able to raise $14000 & helped over 150 families. Alhamdulillah this Ramadan in colleboration with CWB-Children Without Boarders (a nonprofit and a dedicated team of few individuals who strive hard to put children of Afghanistan back to school by providing financial sponsorship), they are supporting me with this cause so we can raise more funds & help more families.
If you don’t know me-I understand your concern re this cause but alhamdulillah between you and I, we share a beautiful religion of trust, honesty and hope. I make Allah and his book my witness and I declare 100% of your funds will be used towards this cause.
In colleboration with CWB, established in kabul along with a dedicated team of volunteers who went door to door to find & assess each family to determine eligibility. I transfer funds via Kabul Farm to Akmal Wardak (in-charge of the Food Drive) in Afghanistan. After assessment-families are called to a specific location to recieve their food package. Food package include: oil, rice, flour, kidney beans (replacement for meat), sugar, tea, tomatoe sauce & dates.
Messenger of Allah said, "One who cares for widows and poor is like those who fight in the way of Allah or those who spend their days fasting and nights praying"-Al-Bukhari
