This fundraiser is in loving memory of Ralph Remmert and in support of his family. It is heartbreaking to lose such an inspiring person so soon, but we know his spirit will live on in all of us and in the future we create.
Ralphy was a true super hero. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at age 17. While it is unique for someone with this disease to survive into adulthood, Ralphy was strong, determined, and loved life. We said goodbye to him on January 14. He was 36.
Ralphy was a kind soul that moved mountains to help anybody that needed it.He filled his life with meaningful work in politics and art. His amazing wife, Maureen Wilde, and dog Alvy joined him on his journey. Together they created priceless moments and memories of love.
Three years ago with the love and support of his family Ralphy received a double lung transplant, an operation that won him three years. These years were not taken for granted. Ralphy filled them with travel, hikes, and lots of laughs. He has taught us all a very important lesson; to live life to the fullest no matter what.
We are raising money for Ralphy's family so that they do not have to add worry about medical, funeral, and travel expenses on top of their grief.
There will be memorial services in both Los Angeles and Omaha, so that friends and family from the West Coast to the Heartland can celebrate the life of this great man. Ralphy you are loved and will be greatly missed.
