Dearest Family & Friends,
As many of you know by now, our sweet little niece Raven, daughter of Eric & Tabatha White, was diagnosed with Leukemia this past Friday.
I write this to you all on behalf of them and the rest of our families and I encourage you to share this with as many people as you can.
To spare you the heartbreaking details of what this little angel has had to endure, here is her diagnosis and current treatment plan.
Raven has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has already undergone a bone marrow procedure and spinal tap and now has a port in her chest. She has begun chemo treatment and as of now will continue chemo for the next 2.5 years.
She will be on 11 different medications every day and here is where we need your help. These medications are extremely expensive and the side effects are even worse but they are the KEY to her recovery.
Tabatha and Eric are your typical American family. They both work full time and have 3 children. They have health insurance but having health insurance isn't enough. You cannot budget for an unexpected illness. You cannot place a price tag on your child's health but the scary truth is, there IS a cost, an actual PRICE associated with Ravens survival. They would work as many jobs, as many hours as they possibly could in their commitment for their daughter but their energy and time needs to be spent with Raven, by her side, not worrying about how to pay for the next month of medications but by providing her with love and reassurance that only her parents can provide.
They say it takes a village when raising a child and nothing could be more true than when one of our children is sick. We are all mothers, sisters, daughters, FAMILY and OUR baby is sick! So, I ask you from the bottom of my heart, please help with whatever you can spare to the cost of Raven's recovery.
We are a family of believers and although we know that evil gave this little girl her sickness, our God WILL heal every inch of her body. It will take all of your prayers and all of the modern medicine available but she will beat this! She is a fighter and she is fighting but she needs us, ALL OF US to fight with her, for her!
