My friend Randy Brunson has cancer and needs help.
I met Randy, a quiet, kind, hardworking family man, about five years ago when I needed a reliable contractor. I am a real estate broker and I wanted a contractor that I could count on for all of my clients who needed small and large home remodeling and repairs. Reliability is hugely important when dealing with contractors and Randy filled the bill and then some. With his brother Jack and the rest of their crew Randy worked hard and always did what he said he would do (above and beyond on many occasions). I know I can trust Randy with my clients and over the years, I’ve grown to love him and his crew like family.
Not long ago, after completing a job of laying pavers for my driveway, Randy began feeling short of breath and all in all, not himself. A longtime cigarette smoker who has tried many times to quit, he went to various doctors and was finally told that he had a very aggressive lung cancer. His top oncologist gave Randy 10 percent odds of surviving this disease and Randy was elated! He said, I’ll beat this!
Due to the debilitating nature of his disease, Randy cannot work, so he has NO income and the bills are piling up – rent, utilities, co-pays and other medical expenses – as he undergoes chemo and radiation.
As Randy battles for his life, the last thing he needs to worry about is money. So I’m reaching out to all of the friends and family who Randy has worked for over the years so that we can help him make ends meet. Any donation would be so greatly appreciated. Please give as much as you can, and feel free to share Randy’s story and encourage others to give.
